Hugot lines from A Second Chance movie that will give you all the feels

When the teaser for the "A Second Chance" movie came out, I knew I had to see the movie on its first day or else I'll regret not watching it for, surely, there'll be lots of spoilers coming. Yes, Popoy and Basha nailed it again, pretty much this time.  This movie is a must-see and if you haven't seen it yet, well go ahead and buy those tickets.  Share with us what you think afterwards!

I, together with my friends and co-worker, went to the movie theater at 4:50 in the afternoon.  We were allowed to leave our work a bit earlier! *Yay!* It didn't take long for my tears to start falling. I can totally relate to Popoy and Basha, though I'm not yet married. The pair reminds me of my mom and dad. And I'm such a hopeless romantic so that must also be considered as one of the reasons why I couldn't help myself from crying.  I took notes of their hugot lines while watching the movie so if I got it wrong please feel free to correct me.

THOSE HUGOT LINES FROM THE MOVIE "A Second Chance" THAT WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE FEELS

1.  "Ito na yung huling gabi na mayroong ikaw at ako.  Simula bukas, ang meron na lang ay tayo, tayo habang buhay."
- It's the night before their wedding when Popoy ask Basha to meet him.

2. "Lahat ng mahal, tulad mo, worth it."
- Popoy to Basha

3. "Poy, you made me feel like I'm your life's biggest mistake.  Tangina, tanong ako ng tanong. Ako ba? Ako ba ang problema? Yun pala, ikaw ang problema!"
- Basha to Popoy when she found out they had financial problems.

4. "You want me to trust you, but you don't even trust me."
- I'm not sure, but I think it's with the financial problem they had.

5. "Gusto na kita iwan, Poy.  Gustong-gusto ko na, Pero hindi ko gagawin kasi nangako ako, na kahit ang hirap mo nang mahalin, mamahalin kita.  Kahit nasasaktan ako.  Kasi nangako ako.  I promise to love you even when it hurts.  I love you more when it hurts."
- Basha to Popoy

6. Popoy: " Why is it so easy for you to see the worst in me?"
Basha: " Why do you make it so hard for me to see the best in you?"

7. "Your love story is what you make it."
- Basha to her friends.

8. Popoy:  "I lost him. I lost the man you married, and I'm so sorry. This is me at my worst. Kaya mo pa ba akong mahalin? Can you honestly love a failure?"
Basha:  "Kung kailangan kong maghintay hanggang makita mo ulit ang asawa ko, maghihintay ako."

9.  "I was best at loving you, but the worst in letting you love me."
- Popoy to Basha

10. "And I'm also saying goodbye to all of my what ifs.  That it's brave to ask 'what if', but I think it's braver to ask 'what is' - and Bash, I know - you're my 'what is'."
- Popoy to Basha

11.  "I promise to love you at your best, and at your worst."
- Basha to Popoy in a flashback scene

12.  "Two years, Poy.  Kahit may nararamdaman akong mali, I chose to ignore it.  Kasi ang nagmamahal, naniniwala. Nagtitiwala."
- Basha to Popoy

13.  "Our marriage is everything we never hoped for.  Masaya siya, minsan malungkot, minsan masakit, minsan ang pangit.  Pero yun siya.  That's marriage."

Do bring your hanky with you or at least a tissue roll because it sure as hell will make you cry at the end of the movie.  I hope they make another one sometime in the future.

Lessons from Inside Out - Disney Movie

ICYMI, Inside Out is the latest movie produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, it is Pixar's 15th feature-length animated film. If you haven't seen the movie, then I advise you to bring some tissue with you.

The imaginative adventure of different feelings namely: Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear and Anger is set inside the mind of an 11-year-old girl named Riley.  As baby Riley is born, one of those feelings asks: "Do you ever look at someone and wonder what is going on inside their head?" Joy spontaneously appears - a shimmering, big-eyed Tinkerbell-like pixie - and observes Riley's view of the world on a surveillance screen.  In no more than 33 seconds, Joy is joined by Sadness followed by other emotions - Fear, Disgust and Anger, the latter characterized as a sponge that bursts into flame when being provoked.  Each emotion has a defined purpose in Riley's life: Joy keeps her happy, Anger keeps her life fair (well for Riley's sake), Disgust keeps her from being poisoned both physically and socially, Fear keeps her safe and Sadness... doesn't think she has a purpose in her mind, or that of the other emotions so as a result, she is being ignored by the others.

The most relevant memories of Riley are housed in glass spheres known as Memory Orbs and power up her five "islands" in her subconscious, each reflecting different aspects of her personality: Family Island, Friendship Island, Goofball Island, Hockey Island and Honesty Island.

When her father gets a new job, Riley's family relocates to San Francisco.  The emotions try everything in their power to make everything a pleasant experience. But then Sadness turns a happy memory orb into a sad one by accidentally touching it and causes a core memory to fall out, Joy decides to keep Sadness preoccupied.  Joy even orders Sadness to not touch anything and let the other emotions do their job on Riley's first day of school.  But there are things that can't be controlled, Sadness touches a memory that causes Riley to cry in front of her new class, creating a new core memory.  Joy then desperately tried to dispose of the new core memory but a struggle with Sadness leads them to being thrown out of their head quarters, leaving Disgust, Fear and Anger to deal with Riley.

Joy and Sadness both agreed to find their way out of the labyrinth-like place called the Long Term Memory, where Riley's past memories are kept and restored.  There they met Bing Bong, Riley's imaginary best friend - a cotton candy-elephant-cat-dolphin pink creature.  Bing Bong is originally a happy and cheerful creature but the pair discovered that he is secretly longing to feel loved again, having been out of job since Riley was about four years old. He said that if he has no purpose anymore in Riley's life, he will cease to exist.  Sadness then comforts the crying Bing Bong, making him feel that everything will be okay and making Joy more confused than ever as to how being sad can help Bing Bong move on.

Okay, I cannot further tell what happened to the trio because it just makes me feel sad to think about what happened to Bing Bong. **spoiler** If you're wondering about what I'm talking about then it's time you see the movie so you can also relate to what I'm feeling.

In this movie, we'll learn that in every joy that comes in our life behind it is great sadness. Without Sadness, we cannot let our frustrations out, we cannot feel any pain. Without sadness, we cannot appreciate life.

To sum it all up, the movie is quite superb. It's nothing like compared to other Disney Pixar movies we've seen before. It makes extraordinary use of knowing cuteness. Don't be afraid to come out of the cinemas crying or wiping tears off your eyes, you can always say that "It's okay to be sad."

Girl's Generation rock their Lion Heart MV with fab designer dresses

From Versace, to Dolce and Gabbana, to Valentino and Gucci; pretty much all the fab designer clothes were in this video that recently caught the eye of the netizens.

Let's take a look at the girls' clothes in the video:

As we all know, Pink is the signature color of the Girl's Generation and so in the first dance scene the girls can be seen wearing outfits from Versace's RTW 2015 collection.

Some members chose to wear dresses from the Dolce and Gabbana collection for the date scene.

But then not all of them have the taste for D&G or Versace, some chose to opt for different high-end designers.  Like Sunny and Hyoyeon who opted for a Valentino dress

Tiffany (my second favorite after Jessica) opted for a Gucci dress.

Yoona in a Chloe matching top and trousers.

Here's the full Music Video of their song "Lion Heart" for you to see all their high-end outfits.

#AlDubAgainstAllOdds

Looks like we've got something to celebrate for over the weekend as the infamous Yaya Dub and Frankie's (#YaKie) Wedding was considered null.  The pair was supposed to be married in the August 22, 2015 episode of Kalye Serye, before the time hits 2:30 pm, as it was Lola Nidora's dying wish  who was, according to her Dr. Tan-ning, was set to die on that same day and same time.

Here's a recap of what happened earlier at the wedding: *all pictures courtesy of Eat Bulaga*

Yaya Dub can be seen begging Lola Nidora to call off the wedding.
Lola Nidora begs Alden not to stop the wedding as part of her dying wish.
And here's the most heartbreaking part of all:

They're like saying good-bye to each other!
We're all hoping that Alden will go stop the wedding!
Breaks our heart into million pieces:
Alden got up to his feet when he saw Yaya Dub crying!*feels*
Alden tried to go to the wedding venue to stop the wedding but he couldn't get out of the studio because of the Rogelios! (Gesh! Where did they came from? Nag-multiply sila dahil sa ulan?)
Anak ng tipaklong! Sana nakisama man lang mga Rogelios ngayon o.
And then I cannot...... *grabs tissue*
Flashback to Day 1: When Yaya Dub first saw Alden on TV. *cries*
The pastor then pronounced Frankie and Yaya Dub as "Mr. and Mrs. Arinolli", but before the couple could kiss, Lola Nidora asked Frankie to sign the check worth P51,000,500.00.
Our pambansang Bae can only cry as he heard the pastor say "I now pronounce you husband and wife"
Atat naman pumirma tong si Frankie -________-
But before Frankie could finish signing the check, sirens can be heard over the background. Cops barged into the wedding venue and accused the pastor of being fake - stating that Frankie and Yaya Dub's wedding can't be considered real.
This is not what we were expecting but we're glad for the interruption!
It was then revealed that everything was just a set-up. Lola Nidora is not sick, she just wanted Frankie to give her the P50 million pesos so she could pay the ransom needed for her "Secret Diary" that was stolen few episodes before.
Lola is a genius! *beastmode*

Ang pag-ibig nararamdaman, hindi binibili, pinaglalaban, ini-ingatan at at ipinagkakaloob sa tamang panahon. - Lola Nidora

Lola Nidora apologized to Alden and Yaya saying that love will come... sa tamang panahon.  The show ended with the two being cheesy and sweet again to each other.

Do I need to put caption to all these pictures? Their smile explains it all.
Now let's see what will happen to this split-screen couple in the next days.

Quick Sketch of Yaya Dub

I've been seeing a lot of drawing/sketches of Maine Mendoza circulating in the internet. I don't really know how to draw a portrait but I tried. So here's my own version of Yaya Dub :)

#AlDub Craze

It's not a secret that Filipinos love romantic comedies.  Filipinos are born romantic, so much so that they will buy even the corniest pick up lines of a movie.  Generations and generations have that one love team that sticks to their hearts... There were the Dawn and Richard loveteam, Claudine and Rico Yan loveteam and the list goes on and on. Most of them are usually scripted just to bring in the viewers..

But ho and behold!

Here comes the #AlDub loveteam which was accidentally found on a live shooting at the noontime variety show, Eat Bulaga! They had the whole nation going crazy over them.

Here are some reasons why I think this love team is a representation of every girl's dream relationship:

1. The Aldub love team is giving that "kilig" feeling

Ever wonder why you just couldn't get rid of that stupid smile out of  your face after watching the #KalyeSerye or video clips of Aldub? That's because of the kilig feeling they are showing that seems natural and unpretentious that every girl is dreaming about.  Remember when Yaya Dub first met (or first saw) Alden on the monitor? It's like getting caught by your crush while doing something funny.

2. It reminds everybody of a happy ending.

Even though Yaya Dub is a maid of Lola Nidora and Alden is a TV hunk, their status doesn't matter at all because true love conquers all.  And with Lola Nidora's evil character, everybody's wishing for the two to have their own happy ending!

3. People are falling in love with their funny antics.

It's true that if a person can make you smile, he/she can melt thy heart. And that's what's the #AlDub is typically doing.  Yaya Dub is as funny as Wally and Jose that's why even Alden can't resist laughing and smiling.

4. Their Chemistry

Alden and Yaya Dub's smile can't be faked. As cheesy as it can be, they have something in them that makes us want to believe in forever and happy-ever-after,  It's that feeling we get whenever we see them dubsmashing on screen.  They are not the #KathNiel-#Jadine type of love team who makes pa-cute every time (sorry, I'm just not a fan of those kids).  Just as I have said, they just act naturally and gives us a surprise every day.

I do hope they end this story in a very good way. It will be such a waste, though.

ALDUB (The Accidental Love)

With the rise of the Dubsmash App came Maine Mendoza aka the Queen of Dubsmash. She became an online sensation after posting her Dubsmash videos on her Facebook Account and Instagram and has recently joined Eat Bulaga's dabarkad's roster. She is now known as Yaya Dub (Divina Ursula Bukbukova Smash) serving as the ever-poker-faced private maid and personal assistant to Lola Nidora (played by Wally Bayola).  She doesn't speak in her actual voice so as you very well expect, she expresses herself through dubsmash audio clips.

So how did the #AlDub loveteam came into picture?

See the reaction of Yaya Dub? Cute!
It is on July 16, 2015 that their love team was accidentally discovered, when Yaya Dub was doing a live funny dubsmash the camera focuses on Alden Richards who is laughing and is watching her through the TV monitor which makes Yaya Dub became "conscious" and is seen stifling a smile.  It's like being caught in an awkward moment by your crush and you don't know what else to do.

Sparks flew between Alden and Yaya Dub throughout the week.  The two would be seen stealing glances at each other and would give tiny waves hello, or as it is famously called "the pabebe wave".
However, it will not be complete if there will be no "kontrabida" on the scene. Lola Nidora, for whom Yaya Dub works for, was against the blooming relationship of the two.  She said that "sa tamang panahon" she will reveal the big secret about Alden, which would explain why she didn't like him for her Yaya Dub.  However, the secret diary was stolen by a riding in tandem just as she is about to reveal the secret.

Sometime after, a man called Lola Nidora claiming that he has the secret diary wants Lola Nidora to give him P50 million pesos.  Believing that Alden is the cause of all her problems, Lola Nidora then demands Alden to pay for the P50 million or if not, he wouldn't see Yaya Dub anymore.

Things just get better and better when Alden introduced his Aunt, played by veteran actress Celia Rodriguez, who defended Alden from Lola Nidora and revealed that she grew up with Lola Nidora and revealed more about her in the past.

Lola Nidora, at some point met someone who she thinks is deserving for Yaya Dub, and introduced him to her.  She imposed that Yaya Dub must marry a certain Frankie Arinoli (played by Jose Manalo), which sparked the tandem name #Yakie.

The supposed wedding of Frankie and Yaya Dub was cancelled when the latter fainted in the middle of the live show and was rushed to the hospital, leaving the others to make an impromptu scene.  It was unfortunate that by the time Alden came to the venue to prevent the wedding, Yaya Dub was taken away.

This makes us all wonder, will #Aldub ever find their way to meet each other?

What do you think will be the ending of their story?

The Ji Chang Wook Effect

Maybe you're wondering who the hell is Ji Chang Wook? Obviously he's Korean since his name tells it all. But he's not just some random korean actor. He's the hotshot hallyu star who'll sweep you off your feet once you get to see his dramas, and make your heart flutter when you hear him sing a love song.

Ji Chang Wook proves that he's got not only a pretty face, but also a great personality and works hard to achieve his aspiration to become a "good actor".  Ji Chang Wook actually started acting in 2005.  His popularity increased when he earned praises playing Dong Hae in the award-winning drama "Smile Dong Hae" in 2010 followed up with successful performances in shows such as "Bachelor Vegetable Store" and "Warrior Baek Dong Soo".

It's been a great year for him following the success of the drama "Empress Ki", a historical saga which he co-starred with Ha Ji Won, and his role as the Yuan Emperor earned him accolades and propelled him to one of the recognized Hallyu hotshot star all over Asia.

Ji Chang Wook as Healer
Healer, his new drama which he co-starred with Park Min Young, was a story covering social issues in addition to the romance. It story revolves around a decades-old incident involving a group of friends who ran an illegal broadcasting station that brings together three different people - a mysterious night errand guy with the codename "Healer" (which Ji Chang Wook portrays) who happens to possess top-notch fighting skills, a reporter from a second-rate tabloid news website (Park Min Young), and a famous journalist at a major broadcast station (Yoo Ji-tae).  Ji Chang Wook portrays three characters in this drama, Seo Jung-hoo (his real name)/Park Bong-soo (the identity he took as he spies Chae Young Shin)/Healer (an illegal night errand guy equipped with wearable smart gadgets).  His ultimate goal is to save money and buy a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean to live there alone.

Ever since Ji Chang Wook started pursuing acting as his calling, he has continued to challenge himself in diverse roles with projects in TV, Cinema, and Musicals.  He even played a villainous role in Five Fingers along star Joo Ji Hoon. Ji Chang Wook stated through an interview that instead of competing with others, he preferred to constantly look for ways to improve himself to become a good actor.

**** will continue spazzing about JCW on the next day, for now I have something to work on.
Ciao!

Artsy Me part 2

And then I got inspired once again to make a quick drawing, this time I made a sketch of my favorite anime character Kakashi.

I have no particular character in mind when I made this girl.  She just kind of pop in my mind after I made a sketch of Kakashi.

Artsy Me

It's that time of the year again, whenever I get bored I'd grab any pencil I'll find and sketch something to entertain myself.  I admit I'm not a pro at this but it makes me feel good about myself :)

Sagada "BREAKAGE" get-away experience

"Where do broken hearts go?....."
Wondering why I put the word "breakage" in my entry? Well, it's a long story but we'll get there. It's for you to find out if it makes sense or not :)
Banaue Rice Terraces!
As crazy as it may seem to be, my friends and I went to Sagada on tour just a few days ago to unwind, relax, and be away from the city chaos. It was an out-of-the-blue, spur-of-the-moment decision. And I'd say that it was the best decision I (we) ever made!

So there, we went and had fun with other groups who joined our tour pax. We availed the tour package to Sagada to save us from going around on our own and having to commute from Manila to Sagada. I don't like being stressed that's why we chose to get into the tour package, it also saves us from having to deal with the places that we needed to visit since they have the handy itinerary.

After having our breakfast, we traveled again... for a loooong time (I lost track of how long we were inside the van). I wasn't able to get enough sleep because I was at the back of the van and I feel like I am in a roller-coaster ride, I'd drift off every now and then and when I woke up we were at Sagada already. We were parked near the Municipal Hall where our guide went to register our names. It was almost lunch time so we just waited for everything to be settled before moving on to Sagada Lemon Pie House where we'll be having our meal.

Before heading to our inn, we stop at Sagada Lemon Pie House to order and have our meal prepared while we head to settle our luggage.  My friends and I ordered the chicken with salad while my sister ordered the chicken curry.  The price for the meal was quite heavy for us, since you know, we're on a budget and expecting meals that are less pricey.  We were surprised to know that the meals we ordered were good for two (not good for one, so imagine how umay we are!!)

I swear I wasn't able to finish my meal due to the long drive and drowsiness.  My eyes are heavy and as much as I wanted to continue eating, my stomach gave me away.

For Day 1, we started the tour at the Sumaging Cave. We tried Spelunking, and boy it was so fun and exciting! It was such a challenge for me too, since I cannot really walk perfectly, always tripping on my own, even on flat surface. ***lagi akong natitisod kahit sa sarili kong paa*** So being able to survive the spelunking at Sumaging Cave is a big achievement for me! Cheers!!!  Our guide is very much accommodating and kind, he even takes really good pictures of us!

***these are just some of the pictures our guide took inside the cave***
We got so tired that we were not able to join the others for the bonfire at the inn. I can hear them from our room and as much as I wanted to go out, I cannot force myself out of the bed. T___T

DAY 2

We were supposed to start our morning by watching the sun rise at Mt. Kiltepan but our guide decided to have it the next day before going home. So we wake up around 7am, which is very much convenient for us since we were pretty tired trying the spelunking thing in Sumaging Cave.

After having our breakfast, we went to the Echo Valley instead.  The weather is not too cold at the time and I was able to wear a short and a shirt but I still brought my jacket along just in case I get cold.  We walk our way towards the Echo Valley and Hanging Coffins, boy it felt like we can't escape trekking.
On our way to Echo Valley, I captured this scene because it just so reminds me of Edward Cullen in the Twilight series!!
OMG! I was wondering if Edward might turn up and call me as his Bella! kkk~~~
The famous Hanging Coffins of Mt. Province
After our short trip to the Echo Valley and the Hanging Coffins, our group split up into two. My group went to the Bomod-Ok Falls while the others went to the local market to shop.  I won't go further telling you about our journey to the falls, it's all just about walking and walking, all I can say is... "#(&%^asdkoyu! PAGOD NA PAGOD AKO! NKKLK!"
I will definitely come back here again!!
The trekking is all worth it! <3

When we got back to our inn, we just took some rest before going to Sagada Pottery, Ganduyan Museum, and Sagada Weaving. We got a brief glimpse on how to make vases and plates out of the clay, the lady showed us how they were able to make a vase out of a clay that they got from the mountains. (It will cost you P100 if you wanted to try making a vase) Then they let us wander around to check if there are things that we wanted to purchase.  Next, we went on to Ganduyan Museum, unfortunately though, we were not allowed to take any pictures. It is strictly prohibited by the owner. I learned that the true name of the place is Ganduyan, not Sagada. It was a misunderstanding from one of the natives back then and of a foreign man who asked the name of the place ( I think it's an American soldier).  The people in Sagada values their culture and tradition very much. It really shows on how they preserve their place and not let foreign people invade their land. I will not elaborate the things I learned from the museum, it's for you guys to check it out and find out for yourself. You'll be surprise on what you'll hear :) The only picture I had is that from the outside of the museum. I don't want breaking any rules there.

Now, for those who have come to visit the Sagada Weaving, we all know that taking pictures inside is also strictly prohibited but hey! *palms up* I swear I did not do anything, I did not disturb them whatsoever. I just asked one of the weavers if I could just take a snapshot of her piece but guess what? She told me I could take the vacant one and have pictures with it. Kyaaaaa~~!

So I eagerly went ahead and do my business. Taking a couple of shots here and there, quietly. Of course I wouldn't want Manang to get annoyed with me so I just took a couple of pictures and when I'm done, I let her know how much happy I am and thank her very much.

After a very long tiring day, we went to the Sagada Brew and the Yogurt House and then back to our in to get some rest because tomorrow we're going to catch the sun at Mt. Kiltepan! (Which is totally the much-awaited activity for us)

P.S. I will continue writing tomorrow. My head's sabaw. I cannot continue writing about my adventure.

Much love,

M xxx

My First Out-of-the-Country Trip - Hong Kong Adventure!

This year I acquired my passport together with my friend (and travel buddy) but we didn't have any plans of going out-of-the-country at ...
